We love people who push boundaries at The Home Style…but hell fire!Mr Leigh Ledare takes pictures of his mother having sex with young men. They can be seen in his book ‘Pretend You Are Alive’ which retails at Amazon for around £700!
I have spent time living in Denmark where the question of nudity between parents and their children does not (on the whole) take on the weird sexual edge that it does in the UK and certainly in America. Nudity is nudity, but why pictures? And indeed why pictures proffered to the world for a buck or 700? Ledare says the oedipal familiarity with his mother Tina began when he rocked up to her house one day and she opened the door naked. There was a young man sprawled on the bed also naked leaving little doubt as to what was going on. Neither of the pair were in the slightest bit bothered by the entrance of Ledare. The naked young man on the bed mumbled hello and fell back to sleep.
A really interesting quote from the mother may answer some questions for folks with more liberal or artistic leanings, if not for the ones with their mouths still hanging wide open in dismay. Ledare says, ‘One day I told my Mom jokingly, ‘As long as you regard your life as fiction, in the very least (sic) you’ll have some interesting experiences.’
She replied, ‘Finally somebody who understands me.”
