House Of Silence:

minima

House-of-Silence-56-1150x766

This beautifully art directed monastry to minimalism was built by Form/Kouichi Kimura Architects. Strong and bold it cares not what the neighbouring homes look like by trying to fit in as it takes it’s stand by a local canal. And likewise, it feels like a home for a limited but fanatical few. Industrial and concrete it goes against all we know by having fewer windows than one would expect and eschewing the net-curtained touchy feely.

It is individual, unapologetic and stylishly grim.

Effin’ love it!

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.” “Let freedom ring! Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York. Let freedom ring from the curvaceous slopes of California. But not only that; let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia.” “We will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.”
