Classic British hallway. 1930’s (or thereabouts) home with the decorative cornices just peeking down from above. The painted black floorboards are beautiful and dance nicely with the whitewashed and blackwashed walls. I’m not sure about painting the banisters black and white…the jury’s out on that one…no, the jury’s come back in. Don’t love it.   One word. FRESH. The large white floor tiles (get me my smelling salts!) gorgeous. The whole thing is very neat, very ordered (check out the two sets of picture frames!)
