Inspire Notes:
Fresh, natural and vibrant. The homeowners have kept this space relaxed and terrifically inviting with plenty of soft furnishings, North African style leanings and large open windows to let in the sun.
The chairs in this space carry quite a bit of the overall style. There is the 1970’s African wicker chair just hiding out of shot above and the rather delicious hanging chair below. Can you see yourself dozing off there in the heat of the afternoon sun?
The curtained doors are very bohemian, very African.

This home style is for the raging hippie or creative artist in some of us. It revels in it’s unfinished state – see the walls. To create this space you have to pull out the potential artist or sculptor or designer in you, because it seems like the perfect space for such a person.
Artisanal produce is to be found everywhere as opposed to mass produced style pieces. Natural materials in their naked state abound with wicker and wood plentifully displayed.
A common theme in a slightly more bohemian home such as this one is to use lots of linen drapes and handmade throws and cushions. Use ethnic-look wisps of material for privacy instead of doors. Keep things raw and not too overly styled and processed.
Having said that, the one diversion from this style is the waterfall chandelier in the living room, (1st pic). A beautiful addition, a surprising diversion and quite aesthetically clever.
