Inspire Notes: The APH80 portable home is a sustainable mobile dwelling that can be easily adapted to suit different needs and sizes. It is built by Spain based Abaton, a studio fast becoming one of our favourite architects. This particular home above can house two people. It has three discernible living spaces, a living room, a kitchen, bathroom and double bedroom. At 27 square meters it is minimally designed with hypoallergenic wood throughout the building and cement wood board covering the building. Inpsire Notes: A treat for those of you who are writers and prefer a little bit of solitude and nature to stir your imagination. This is a writers retreat. Located on San Juan Island, Washington, the intention was to pull the writer into the solace and hum of nature and leave behind all distraction. Inspire Notes: This bright Swedish home / workspace is a very accessible set up in terms of recreating it’s vibe. It’s personality comes from the rather nice accessories dotted about. The bold, fat bottomed ceramic vase, the magazine racks, the Arne Jacobsen chairs, the Saarinen-esque round coffee table and of course the character-full daybed. Light meets white. Inspire Notes: We rather like this homestyle! It’s eclectic, accessible, do-able, a bit cheeky and unpretentious. From the very European-esque window shutters to the bowl with the magazines in, the cushions jostling for space on the much ‘bottomed’ sofa and the flowers in the bottles. Two delicious accents catch our eye here. The round, fit to burst armchair – it’s a lovely colour for this room and the floor standing mirror.
