The Observatory

2

Inspire Notes:

From South Africa’s Leobo Private Reserve we bring you The Observatory. An incredibly beautiful stone and glass living space that profits from it’s stunning location and the vision of it’s architects Silvio Rech and Lesley Carsten. It luxuriates in traditional African flavour with lots of wood and soft furnishings. Raw and powerful, soft and welcoming.

To re-create some semblance of this stunning home we can’t guarantee you the sunshine of South Africa but we can point you to it’s use of simple unadorned walls, the aforementioned wood, rugs and large, soft c-shape seating area. We would add very sleek and well chosen

African ornaments to bring more flavour and vibe, but don’t overdo it to keep it serene and classy. Take a leaf out of the architects book, they are known proponents of stylish African minimalism.

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.” “Let freedom ring! Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York. Let freedom ring from the curvaceous slopes of California. But not only that; let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia.” “We will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.”
