White Cave Home

Inspire Notes:

For those of us for whom enough is sufficient, the white minimalism of this White Cave House will appeal. Perfect sharp lines. Quiet precision. Stark luxury.

Takuro Yamammoto Architects have delivered a rock star niche home for peace lovers. The structure has a series of lonesome looking doorways that belie what lies behind.

The angular, secretive lead up to the courtyard has been designed to protect the inhabitants from passing prying eyes and with only one isolated window on view, light sources are found via a series of purposeful interconnections between the interior and the natural light exterior.

To play further with the theme of ‘cave’ they left the courtyard with a slight film of water that enhances the whole home’s other wordly feel. Ghostly beautiful and still practical.

Is anyone else thinking, ‘never mind minimalism…put up a security gate!’ – Or is that the London mindset coming out there?

How cool is this? If you came to visit and Mr and Ms Minimalist were out, you could wait in the courtyard and sit on the stone bench that is both inside the home and outside it also. Loves it!
